Ex-State Bar executive blames state Supreme Court aide for firing

Joseph L. Dunn's amended complaint claims Beth Jay, the former principal attorney to the chief justice, intentionally interferred with his employment. It also accuses bar trustees of refusing to cooperate with an investigation into a leak.

Joseph L. Dunn took his fight over being fired as State Bar executive director to
a new level Wednesday.


In an amended complaint, Dunn added Beth Jay, the longtime principal attorney to the
California Chief Justice, as a defendant for allegedly pushing to get him fired. He
