Two Orange County firms, Birtcher Construction Services of Costa Mesa and Holmes & Narver Inc. architects and engineers of Orange, are donating their expertise to the restoration of Newport Beach's historic Balboa Theater. According to Andrew L. Youngquist, president of Birtcher Construction, the company will provide general contracting services and project management for the $1 million renovation, which includes seismic retrofitting and a complete interior remodel.
