Apple scores defense win in iPod antitrust case

OAKLAND - It was a short end to a long saga. After just three hours of deliberating, an eight-person jury found Apple's 2007 firmware upgrade improved the product, rather than creating a monopoly over iPod users.


The decision means Apple escapes more than $1 billion in potential liability.
