End may be in sight for state's unaccredited law schools

Under a proposal, the state's 20-plus unaccredited schools would have 10 years to qualify for accreditation or be forced to close. But perhaps even more interesting, the same proposal would allow accreditation of online law schools.

The end may finally be coming for California's infamous unaccredited law schools. Under a proposal out for public comment, the state's 20-plus unaccredited schools would have 10 years to improve themselves enough to qualify for accreditation from the State Bar or close their doors.
