IRVINE - Dennis S. Choate's practical streak kicked in when he decided to leave the Orange County bench four years ago and become an ADR neutral.


To retire with full benefits, you have to have served as a judge for 20 years and have reached age 60. At the time, Choate was 61 and had been on the bench 21 years.
