Ship owners blame pharmacists in ship pilot's crash

Owners of the ship that crashed into the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge nearly five years ago have filed suit against Bay Area pharmacists, claiming they failed to warn the ship's pilot about drugs he was taking.

SAN FRANCISCO - Owners of the Cosco Busan, a 902-foot container ship that crashed into the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge nearly five years ago, have filed suit against Bay Area pharmacists, alleging they did not adequately warn the vessel's pilot that taking multiple medications could impair his ability to control the ship.
