Breyer tapped to serve on sentencing commission

President Barack Obama on Wednesday nominated U.S. District Judge Charles R. Breyer of San Francisco to serve on the U.S. Sentencing Commission, an independent judicial branch agency that sets guidelines for criminal sentences for federal courts.
