California voters in November narrowly defeated a ballot measure meant to block the effect of the U.S. Supreme Court's un-American 2005 decision regarding eminent domain. Next year, they should get to try again with a more-narrowly drawn initiative aimed at reversing, for California, Kelo v. City of New London, 545 U.S. 469 (2005).
