Citing Fraud, Judge Tosses Damages in Dole Banana Case

A Los Angeles judge on Thursday threw out two bellwether damages cases lodged against Dole Food Co. Inc. by Nicaraguan plaintiffs who claimed exposure to pesticides used on banana farms nearly 30 years ago left them sterile.

LOS ANGELES - A Los Angeles judge on Thursday threw out two bellwether damages cases lodged against Dole Food Co. Inc. by Nicaraguan plaintiffs who claimed exposure to pesticides used on banana farms nearly 30 years ago left them sterile.
