Justices Take Final Bush Detainee Case

The U.S. Supreme Court decided Friday to hear what will be the last of the major detainee cases arising from the Bush administration's response to the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.

WASHINGTON - The U.S. Supreme Court decided Friday to hear what will be the last of the major detainee cases arising from the Bush administration's response to the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.

At issue is the detention of Qatari citizen Ali al-Marri, who has been held since December 2001. Al-Marri v. Pucciarelli, 08-368.
