9th Circuit to Judge: Take Two on Movie Access for Wheelchair Users

A trial judge in Los Angeles went too far in trying to help movie-going wheelchair users, the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals has decided.

SAN FRANCISCO - A trial judge in Los Angeles went too far in trying to help movie-going wheelchair users, the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals has decided.

A divided three-judge panel Friday reversed U.S. District Judge Florence-Marie Cooper's order to remodel nearly 2,000 movie theaters nationwide to give disabled patrons the same views of the screen as members of the general public.
