Craigslist's Lawsuits to Curb Sex Ads Are Getting Results

As part of a deal with 40 state attorneys general last month to cut down on listings for prostitution and sex-oriented services, Craigslist Inc. agreed to file 14 lawsuits against companies that offer autoposting software in violation of the company’s terms of use.

SAN JOSE - As part of a deal with 40 state attorneys general last month to cut down on listings for prostitution and sex-oriented services, Craigslist Inc. agreed to file 14 lawsuits against companies that offer autoposting software in violation of the company's terms of use.

So far, the San Francisco-based company's litigation strategy appears to be paying off.
