Daily Journal Staff Writer WASHINGTON - The U.S. Supreme Court dealt a blow Tuesday to a convicted murderer from California when it vacated a 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruling in his favor. In May 2007, the 9th Circuit granted habeas corpus relief to Michael Pulido based on an erroneous jury instruction at his trial for the first-degree murder of a gas station attendant in San Mateo. Hedgpeth v. Pulido, 07-544.
