High Court Allows California Pot Ruling to Stand

The U.S. Supreme Court Monday declined to intervene in a dispute over whether police are required to return pot seized from medical marijuana patients in California.

WASHINGTON - The U.S. Supreme Court Monday declined to intervene in a dispute over whether police are required to return pot seized from medical marijuana patients in California.

The California 4th District Court of Appeal had ruled that state and local police cannot confiscate marijuana from people who have a doctor's permission to use the drug, Garden Grove v. Superior Court, 07-1569.
