Political transparency bill would combat big anonymous donations
The California Fair Political Practices Commission is hoping to pass a bill early next year to stop a repeat of an incident where nearly $11 million dollars was donated by a group without revealing the money's actual source.

SACRAMENTO - Several bills signed into law this year make it easier for California's Fair Political Practices Commission to enforce transparency over money in politics. But the commission is still waiting for legislative approval of a bill designed to prevent a repeat of a controversial, out-of-state anonymous money-dump of $11 million into two California campaigns last year.
