Berger - The 1985 movie "Back to the Future" featured a crazy scientist who invented a time machine that had no trouble running backward but developed problems returning to the time where it began. Don't look now, but a growing cadre of folks is trying to turn the clock back to the 19th century - maybe even earlier. These modern-day Luddites, in the name of protecting the environment, want to send us all back - and leave us there.
