Relief Under 2003 Law Goes Mainly to Individuals and Will Be Temporary
Focus Column - Tax Law - By Dean Weiner - On May 23, Congress passed the Jobs and Growth Tax Relief Reconciliation Act of 2003, which will generate $330 billion in tax relief. The act accelerates the tax cuts for individuals in the Economic Growth and Tax Relief Reconciliation Act of 2001 and reduces the tax on dividends and capital gains.
