Ruling May Clear Path for Execution

A federal judge on Friday ordered that a condemned California man be given a choice in how his execution will be carried out but refused to block the execution despite the fact that the state's lethal injection procedures - which the judge found unconstitutional in 2006 - are the subject of pending litigation in federal and state court.
