Senate Deals Setback to Gay Soldiers

Groups pushing for a repeal of "don't ask, don't tell" said the Senate's failure to drum up support Tuesday for a vote to end the ban on gays serving openly in the military was a major blow for their attempts to quickly torpedo the law.

But they expect a judge's recent ruling deeming the law unconstitutional to keep the issue at the political forefront...
