Judge rejects motion for summary judgment against Valve

Judge Charles Breyer rejected that the game DotA had no enforceable authorship.

A judge acknowledged that the video game "Defense of the Ancients" and its sequels are a mishmash of works created by player volunteers, but found the games' copyright holders are nonetheless justified in seeking to protect the property from imitation.
