9th Circuit Restricts Online Libel Liability

SAN JOSE - The operator of a Web site that posted allegedly defamatory material about a Beverly Hills attorney is unlikely to be held liable because of a provision in the Communications Decency Act of 1996, a federal appellate court ruled Tuesday.
