Who Are You?

Forum Column - By Erwin Chemerinsky - How many individuals did the federal government arrest and detain after Sept. 11? How many people are being detained now? Who are the detainees, and why are they being held? Astoundingly, the answers to these questions remain unknown. The Bush administration and the Ashcroft Justice Department steadfastly have refused to answer these basic questions. No one knows how many people the government has held and for what reasons.
