Judge invalidates Google patent claims in Microsoft lawsuit

A federal judge in Washington state invalidated 13 patent claims that a Google Inc. subsidiary had asserted in an ongoing court battle with Microsoft Corp.

A federal judge in Washington state dealt Mountain View-based technology giant Google Inc. a sound blow Thursday, invalidating 13 patent claims that its subsidiary had asserted in an ongoing court battle with Microsoft Corp.
