9th Circuit affirms Yelp defeat of extortion claims
In a victory for San Francisco-based online review service Yelp Inc., a 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals panel affirmed a district judge's dismissal of business owners' lawsuit claiming extortion.




In a victory for San Francisco-based online review service Yelp Inc., a 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals panel affirmed a district judge's dismissal of business owners' lawsuit claiming extortion. The businesses filed a class action, saying the company tried to extort advertising payments by manipulating user reviews. The panel agreed with U.S. District Judge Edward M.
