Judge blasts FTC, undoes temporary restraining order

U.S. District Judge John F. Walter reversed his decision to grant a temporary restraining order after details emerged in a case the Federal Trade Commission brought over allegedly fraudulent cell phone billing practices.

LOS ANGELES - A federal judge made a complete about-face last week in a case brought by the Federal Trade Commission against several content providers accused of scamming mobile phone users out of $100 million by charging them for unwanted "premium" text messages.
