Appeals Court Ruling Revives Challenge to San Francisco's Sanctuary City Policy

An attack by anti-illegal immigration activists on San Francisco's sanctuary policy gained ground Wednesday thanks to a state appellate panel's ruling.

SAN FRANCISCO - An attack by anti-illegal immigration activists on this city's sanctuary policy gained ground Wednesday thanks to a state appellate panel's ruling.

The decision reversed a trial judge and revived a lawsuit seeking to force San Francisco police to inform federal authorities when they arrest drug offenders whom they suspect of being non-citizens.
