Alternatives to Covenants Not To Compete Can Aid Employers

Rutledge - Among the most significant differences between the laws of the state of California and those of the rest of the nation are the laws that relate to covenants not to compete. California statutes prohibit such covenants in most circumstances, and California courts routinely have enforced such statutes as consistent with a public policy favoring an employee's right to change employers.
