LAO wants courts to provide more data about spending

A report by the Legislative Analyst's Office Friday urged lawmakers to require courts to provide more information about how they spend money before approving additional funds proposed by Gov. Jerry Brown Jan. 9.

SACRAMENTO - Courts receiving new funding should also be held accountable for how they spend the additional dollars, the Legislative Analyst's Office urged Friday in a review of Gov. Jerry Brown's proposed judiciary budget for the upcoming fiscal year.
