McData Pays $187 Million For Two Valley Companies

McData Corp. is scooping up two privately held Silicon Valley companies to enhance its storage networking capabilities. In late August, McData agreed to buy Sanera Systems Inc. of Sunnyvale for $102 million in cash. McData also agreed to purchase Nishan Systems Inc. of San Jose for $83 million in cash and $2 million in debt.
