School Should Ask Parents Before Police Question Kids

Forum Column - By Robert DeKoven - A bill in the state Legislature (AB1012) would require school officials, with certain exceptions, to notify parents and get their consent before a peace officer questions their child at school about a crime. If the parents refuse, then the school cannot allow the officer to question the child until the parents are present.
