California bar takers fare well on multiple choice section, but poorly overall

Loyola Law School graduate Lloyd Buckley outperformed more than 90 percent of the country on the multiple-choice portion of the bar exam, but failed California’s February test.

He is among the nearly two-thirds of exam takers who failed this state’s most recent attorney licensing exam, even though on average they performed better than their peers in other states on the national multiple-choice section.
