The Committee of Bar Examiners is considering raising two of the primary fees that law schools must pay to it in hopes of reducing an estimated $279,000 deficit.

The committee regulates nearly 40 state-accredited and unaccredited law schools, but not institutions accredited by the American Bar Association.
