Hollywood agency settles age discrimination case
The Creative Artists Agency has settled with 115 class members who described themselves as "older" television writers, agreeing to pay $150,000 to an assistance fund, but without paying legal fees or direct plaintiffs' awards.

LOS ANGELES - During the past four years, 22 talent agencies and studios settled a collection of lawsuits for a total of nearly $75 million paid to older television writers who claimed they had been discriminated against based on age.
But throughout the process, Creative Artists Agency refused to budge.
