High Court Reverses Death Case, Denies New Hearing
WASHINGTON - A deeply divided U.S. Supreme Court reversed the San Francisco-based 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in a death-penalty case Monday, ruling that an Arizona inmate was not entitled to a new hearing on allegations that his attorney failed to investigate and present evidence that might have spared him a death sentence.
