The Beverly Hills Bar Association honored Eric Weissmann, a partner with Weissmann Wolff Bergman Coleman Grodin & Evall, with its Entertainment Lawyer of the Year award at a dinner reception Tuesday night. The honorary chairs for the event, held at the Beverly Hills Hotel, included screenwriter Paul Mazursky and actors Keith Carradine and Gene Wilder. Beverly Hills Bar Association entertainment law chair Susan Rabin, co-chair Neville Johnson and member David Helfant provided a musical tribute to Weissmann, with Rabin on vocals and Johnson and Helfant on guitars. Weissmann, who has lectured at USC, UCLA, Yale, Harvard and UC Berkeley, started his entertainment law career at MCA Artists and later worked for Warner Bros.’ legal department before founding Weissmann Wolff. - Jean-Luc Renault
