Lawyers Shouldn't Let Client Hostilities Control Advocacy
Forum Column - By Jeffrey K. Winikow - Most employment disputes are by their nature fairly contentious. Workers do not like being ousted from their jobs after giving a company years of dedicated service; executives do not like being accused of bigotry, misogyny or other unlawful acts. As lawyers, however, we need to remain above the fray, and not allow client hostilities to dictate the terms of zealous advocacy. All too often, practitioners fail.
