In March, the House Republicans were responsible for passing legislation, 233 to 190, that would force many class actions into federal court. The pretext behind House Resolution 2341, known as the Class Action Fairness Act of 2002, is that businesses are being forced to defend against an onslaught of frivolous class actions in state courts.
