Assembly committee approves bill splitting off State Bar’s sections
The revised bill also gives the bar the explicit authority to re-fingerprint active lawyers so that it can receive arrest alerts about them, and it opens the door to the bar potentially passing on to attorneys the $9.3 million in estimated re-fingerprinting costs.
