LOS ANGELES — Johnson & Johnson attorney Bart Williams hammered at an opposition expert witness Monday, getting her to repeatedly tell the jury that there is no single study linking talc to ovarian cancer as the dying plaintiff in the bellwether case alleges.

“You are not aware of any study on animals or humans that connects talc to inflammation, to ovarian cancer?” asked Williams, a partner at Proskauer Rose LLP.
