Immigration bill isn’t likely to go far

As promised during the campaign, President Donald Trump has backed legislation designed to reduce legal immigration. The RAISE Act would cut overall immigration levels by 50 percent.

As promised during the campaign, President Donald Trump has backed legislation designed to reduce legal immigration. The RAISE Act, introduced by Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ga.) and co-sponsored by Sen. David Purdue (R-Ark.), would cut overall immigration levels by 50 percent.
