State Bar spending on attorney discipline system $3.2M under budget
An appellate court justice monitoring the bar’s spending highlighted the savings in a recent report.
The State Bar spent $3.2 million less than budgeted on its attorney discipline system in the first half of the year, mostly due to slower than anticipated hiring, according to a report recently submitted to the California Supreme Court.
The bar’s board has agreed to reinvest in other initiatives some of the savings highlighted in the report filed Monday by Justice Elwood Lui of the 2nd District Court of Appeal.
