The State Bar’s board voted 6-5 Wednesday to recommend the California Supreme Court consider two options for lowering the passing score on the bar exam, in addition to maintaining the existing standard of 144.
The two other standards the board wants the court to evaluate are “interim” scores of 141.4 and 139 that would be effective with this past July’s test.
