Silicon Valley billionaire Peter Thiel helped back Legalist, an investment fund seeking clients to sue Equifax.
Litigation finance company Legalist Inc. is offering to pay filing fees for victims of the recent Equifax Inc. data breach. Approximately 700 people have applied for funding through the company’s Equifax-specific portal, according to Legalist general counsel Curtis E. Smolar.
Among those affected by the breach was Legalist co-founder Christian Haigh, according to a release sent by the company last week calling for applicants.
