Gayle Murphy, the State Bar's senior director for admissions, co-authored a report recommending no changes to the content of the bar exam, based on a study that says it accurately measures the skills needed by a new attorney.

A report has determined that all the content on the California bar exam matches the knowledge, skills and abilities entry-level attorneys are expected to possess.

State Bar staff say the review they commissioned should prompt the agency to recommend that the state Supreme Court make no changes to the 13 subjects tested on the exam.
