Amicus briefs urge 9th Circuit to rule criminal immigration statute unconstitutional

The National ACLU, federal defenders from every district under the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals and immigration rights groups from across the country urged the court to strike down as unconstitutional a federal statute that makes it a crime to encourage people to remain living in the United States illegally.
