Separation of powers, not Mueller, needs protection

Senators Christopher Coons and Thom Tillis introduced bipartisan legislation requiring judicial review if Mueller is fired. Senators Lindsey Graham and Cory Booker also introduced another bipartisan bill mandating pre-termination court approval.

Notwithstanding Special Counsel Robert Mueller securing indictments in the Russia investigation, he doesn't need protection from President Donald Trump for the rule of law to prevail. Rather it is the separation of powers which needs protection from Congress.
