SAN JOSE — A Santa Clara-based company that makes anti-malware has defeated a lawsuit by a software company that accused it of false advertising and other claims by successfully asserting immunity under federal law.
U.S. District Judge Edward J. Davila ruled on tuesday that the Communications Decency Act empowers Malwarebytes Inc. to choose the materials to which it wants to restrict access.
