COLANTUONO
State Bar President Michael Colantuono is urging lawyers to voluntarily disclose to the agency any unreported convictions rather than waiting for them to be discovered during the bar’s planned re-fingerprinting initiative.
Starting in 1989, the agency was required under state law to ensure the retention of licensed attorneys’ fingerprints so it could receive conviction and arrest alerts, but it did not seek to comply until this year....
