There’s no mistaking the joy in Justice Steven Z. Perren’s voice as he describes the bustling “Quando m’en vo” street scene from Puccini’s “La Boheme.”
“When the music swells up and everybody lets it fly, it’s transcendent,” he said of performing the iconic opera spectacle.
“I don’t know how else to describe it,” Perren continued after a pause. “It’s almost a religious experience.”
