Jury deadlocks on two key patents in Finjan suit against Blue Coat

Cybersecurity company Finjan Inc. got a split decision in a patent infringement trial against Blue Coat Systems Inc.

SAN JOSE — Cybersecurity company Finjan Inc. got a split decision in a patent infringement trial against its competitor Blue Coat Systems Inc.

After an 11-day trial before U.S. District Judge Beth L. Freeman, a San Jose jury on Monday awarded Finjan a total of $490,000 on two patents, found non-infringement on two others and hung on two more. Finjan Inc. v. Blue Coat Systems Inc., 15-CV3295 (N.D. Cal., filed July 15, 2015).
